The ACM Honors is a special event held every year to honor the genre's biggest contributors in that given year. Additionally, awards are given out to praise the stars who have contributed throughout their entire careers. Having taken place last month in Nashville, the ceremony aired last night on FOX. Some of the night's honorees included Morgan Wallen, Miranda Lambert, Shania Twain, and HARDY. Here are the most notable moments from the award show.

Reigning ACM Female Artist of the Year Carly Pearce hosted the event for the second time. Pearce proved to be a worthy of the title by guiding the segments in seamless fashion. She also gave an intimate performance of her current radio single "What He Didn't Do."
A highlight of the night was undoubtedly Kelsea Ballerini's tribute to Twain. Ballerini opened the show with a rendition of the iconic "Man! I Feel Like A Woman." The "HEARTFIRST" singer even wore an outfit similar to the one Twain wore in the music video for that same song.
HARDY and ERNEST gave a performance that their fans will be talking about for some time. The two sang "Sand In My Boots," "Wasted On You," and "More Than My Hometown" to honor Wallen. Wallen was chosen as this year's Milestone award recipient, and HARDY and ERNEST took to the stage to honor their friend and consistent writing partner.
Miranda Lambert was presented with the Triple Crown Award, given to an artist who has won the ACM awards for Female Artist, Album of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year. Little Big Town sang "The House That Built Me" as it was Lambert's first No. 1 song.
In keeping with honoring Lambert, Brooks & Dunn gave a surprise performance of her song "Kerosene" that rocked the Ryman Auditorium. Lambert was visibly blown away by the legendary duo.
Lainey Wilson took to the stage to help honor Yellowstone, as the show was given a special award. The hit show often includes country songs in its episodes that add to the show's plot. Wilson performed "Working Over Time" which had been featured on the show.
Wynonna Judd gave a memorable performance of "Why Not Me" to pay tribute to the Poet's award honoree Sunny Throckmorton. Throckmorton has an endless amount of songs credited to his name as he was a premier songwriter during the 1970s and 80s in particular.
