Carly Pearce on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’
Carly Pearce rang in the new year with the television debut of her song “Diamondback” off of her critically acclaimed album 29: Written in Stone. This was Pearce’s first time on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, but not her first time dazzling television audiences in recent weeks. In December, Pearce gave a heartfelt performance of her emotional song “29” on NBC’s The Voice, a track that was also off of her latest record.
For her dynamic performance, Pearce wore a long sleeve black dress while her band wore matching black western shirts. Pearce and her tight-knit band have often coordinated on stage, much to the approval of her fans. The singer-songwriter delivered a powerfully sassy performance as “Diamondback” is truly an anthem for every woman who wants to say “you ain’t gonna get this diamond back.” Pearce has been candid about wanting to use her pain for a purpose, and this song is bound to help others in an epic way.
2021 saw some of the Kentucky native’s biggest accomplishments. After becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry, winning Female Vocalist of the Year at the CMAs, releasing her third album with much anticipation, and landing on numerous year-end lists on Billboard, it’s safe to say she is riding high into 2022.
