Carly Pearce, The Newest Member of the Grand Ole Opry
This afternoon (June 22nd) Carly Pearce was told she was recording a video for a Dollywood promotion, a place that has been near and dear to the singer for many years. Little did she know she was about to have two MAJOR surprises happen to her. Dolly Parton herself walks into the stage to not only give Carly a hug but to congratulate her for performing at the Grand Ole Opry 85 times but to also ask her one of the most coveted questions in the world – if she would like to be the next member of the Grand Ole Opry!
Pearce’s emotions take over, and she falls to the ground crying in the touching video which was played during her performance tonight. Watch the incredible video below.
During her performance this evening she emotionally said to the crowd, “Truly to me, as a country singer, this is the most precious place and the most precious thing I could ever be a part of and the most precious family I could ever be a part of and so many awesome things have happened to me since my first single came out but this takes the cake and it always will, so than you Grand Ole Opry, I am so excited to be able to be a part of the family.”
Her official induction will take place on August 3rd, grab your tickets now! Congratulations Carly! So so deserved.
