Carrie Underwood "Take Me Out" Song Review
One of country music's brightest stars is continuing her Denim & Rhinestones era. Underwood released her new song "Take Me Out" along with announcing a deluxe version of her latest album, slated to be released on September 22nd.
Underwood has been back in the studio working on plenty of new music. In March, she released the spirited song "Out Of That Truck." Underwood also completed her 'Denim & Rhinestones Tour' this spring. Ever since the singer won American Idol back in 2005, she has been a staple in the country music landscape. It seems like she has leaned into the element of surprise when releasing new material as the years have gone on. Even with little notice, her fans will always be vying to hear what she's got up her sleeve.
"Take Me Out" is meant to slow dance to. The tempo lays the groundwork for the longing in Underwood's voice. She sings about wanting to spend more time with the person she loves. As life can be chaotic at times, it's important to make time for those who matter most. Especially in relationships, sometimes all it takes is time alone. "I miss your touch / I miss that fire / So kiss me like it's the first time tonight." The softer, more vulnerable Underwood songs make people realize why they love her all over again.
