Cody Johnson Performs on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’
Singer-songwriter Cody Johnson performed his track “’Til You Can’t” on The Kelly Clarkson Show on Friday, January 7th. The song is the debut single from Cody’s most recent album, Human The Double Album, which was released in October of 2021.
After its initial release, the song debuted at the number 42 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in June of 2021. With over 85 million global streams, “’Til You Can’t” has climbed its way up the rankings to reach spot number 12 in January of 2022.
Kelly Clarkson introduced Johnson by noting his “Wildly loyal fan base that has helped him already hit three billion streams worldwide.” He had wrapped up the year with over 270 million streams on Spotify in 2021 alone.
His powerful performance displayed his dedication in captivating the audience through meaningful, lesson-filled lyrics and sticking to his true country roots.
“There’s a box of greasy parts sitting in the trunk of that ’65 / Still waiting on you and your granddad to bring it back to life / You can always get around to fixing up that Pontiac / ‘Til you can’t.”
Want to see more of Johnson? He will be kicking off his 2022 tour later this month and performing in 28 cities. If you can’t make it to any of his live shows, his documentary, Dear Rodeo: The Cody Johnson Story, is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
