Conner Smith Appears on NBC’s TODAY Show

Emerging country artist Conner Smith has had a busy start to 2022. Smith appeared on the third hour of the TODAY Show with Hoda and Jenna to promote his debut EP, Didn’t Go Too Far. Released less than two weeks ago, the record is receiving rave reviews from fans and critics alike.

Smith performed his track “Learn From It” while Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager sat in enjoyment. Hager even yelled, “Wow!” following the performance. Smith’s stage presence was obvious, making it easy to imagine how he entertains fans in a live crowd. The hosts also interviewed Smith and he discussed what inspired him while making his introductory project. He wanted to write songs from what he knew best: hometown values, young love, and learning to roll with whatever life throws at you.

“Learn From It” is a track that is all about navigating the growing pains that comes with getting older. Realizing that mistakes made when you were younger really does have an impact on who you grow up to be. “Yeah we learn from it, all of them days when we were young and wild,” Smith exclaims in the song. He truly brought that sentiment to life for millions of viewers to see. Watch the full performance here.

The singer-songwriter is currently on tour with Ryan Hurd but announced this past week that he will be joining Thomas Rhett on his ‘Bring The Bar To You Tour’ starting this summer. Smith will also be supporting alongside fellow rising artist Parker McCollum on Rhett’s tour. With a strong performance and interview segment like the one he had on TODAY, there’s no doubt that there will be more of that to come in the future for the Tennessee native.
