Even though the new year has only begun, numerous country artists have teased new music. Here’s a list of country projects to look forward to in 2022.
1. Skeletons Deluxe by Brothers Osborne (Set to be released on January 21st)
Country duo Brothers Osborne released their third studio album Skeletons in the second half of 2020. The duo has announced that the deluxe version of the project will be out into the world at the end of January.
2. Through The Madness Vol. 1 by Maddie & Tae
Female country duo Maddie & Tae have announced their next project set to be released on January 28th. The record will include their already released singles “Madness” and “Woman You Got.” In addition, it will contain six never heard before tracks. The title also signals that a possible “volume two” could be in the works.
3. Country Stuff The Album by Walker Hayes
After making 2021 his year with the smash hit “Fancy Like” and its accompanying TikTok dance, Walker Hayes is starting 2022 off strong with the release of his deluxe album Country Stuff The Album which is set to come out on January 21st.
4. Humble Quest from Maren Morris
Being released March 25th, Maren Morris will release her third studio album Humble Quest. The lead single “Circles Around This Town” dropped Friday, January 7th and “Background Music” was released earlier this month.
5. Where We Started from Thomas Rhett
Before 2021 ended, Thomas Rhett closed out the year with a brand new single titled “Slow Down Summer.” He has now released 4 tracks from his upcoming album Where We Started which is slated for release on April 1st. He also said in an Instagram video that he plans on releasing two albums in 2022.
6. Livin My Best Life by Dylan Scott
Ones We’re Hoping For
1. Kelsea Ballerini
Ballerini’s last project dropped in 2020 and we’re hoping new music comes from the singer sometime in 2022.
2. Luke Combs
The last LP from Luke Combs was also released in 2020. His new single “Doin’ This” that came out in mid-November might suggest a new record is deemed for 2022, but we’ll have to wait and see.
