Country Music Bars In South Carolina

Everyone loves a good country music bar, especially in the south. South Carolina is home to plenty of bars to enjoy some great live music. Grab a drink and enjoy some of the great country music of SC.


1. Carolina Western Pub

Known for their BBQ and Thursday night free line dancing lessons, it’s a guaranteed good time. They offer a full menu with particular emphasis on their pulled pork and brisket, along with a full bar. They currently have live music scheduled through October on Friday’s and Saturday’s.


2. Honky Tonk Saloon

Line dancing is hot in SC. Honky Tonk Saloon offers free line dancing lessons on Friday nights and couples dancing on Saturday nights. They also offer delivery and catering for their menu, so you can enjoy their food from the comfort of your home if desired. A full menu with burgers, wings, and tacos is available, along with tasty drinks from the bar. With entertainment booked every single night of the week (except for Sunday), some previous performances include Morgan Wallen, Billy Ray Cyrus, Colt Ford, and more! Swing by for Happy Hour Monday-Friday from 4 p.m.- 7 p.m.


3. Cowboy Up

Located in Greenville, SC, Cowboy up is an electric music venue supplying some of the best up-and-coming country music artists. Recent performers include Matt Stell, Lindsey Ell, Rodney Atkins, and Love and Theft. The venue/bar also offers line dancing every Thursday from 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.


4. The Bowery

They are located on Myrtle Beach, SC - opening at 11am daily with no closing time. Beginning in 1973, their house band was none other than the band Alabama. Alabama spent 6 nights a week playing here for 7 summers. This historic venue still reigns as the place to party every single night. They offer the best burgers in town, along with appetizers you won’t find elsewhere! Pair that with one of their many speciality cocktails or full bar and you are ready to party. Their house band is currently The Bounty Hunters, and offer live music every evening starting at 8:30 p.m.


5. Tin Roof Columbia

Tin Roof is known for their inclusivity for everyone who comes to visit. They offer everything from tacos to burgers to wings. Of course they have a full bar with a lot of choices as well. Entertainment is available every night and as they say, “over the years, our stages have hosted the famous, the should have been famous, and everyone in between.”
