Dylan Scott 'Livin' My Best Life' Album Review

Dylan Scott has released his new album Livin' My Best Life after teasing its contents for months. This LP contains previously released tracks "New Truck," "Static," "Can't Have Mine," "In Our Blood" feat Jimmie Allen, and the No. 1 hit "Nobody."

Scott has proven to be a dominant performer and hitmaker. Having toured with Luke Bryan, Chris Young, and the legendary Garth Brooks, the singer knows what country music fans want to hear. Scott is known for his songs "Hooked" and "My Girl" most notably.

Thanks to Scott's deepened voice, many of his songs have a hypnotizing nature to them. "Lay Down With You" happens to be one of them. It's soft and acoustic, which allows for his words to shine. The song is about spending quality time with the person you love. "The best part of my day is when it's through, nothing left to do, but kick off these boots, and lay down with you."

In true Scott fashion, this wouldn't be his album without up-tempo jams. The title track "Livin' My Best Life" sums up what this album is all about: appreciation, learned lessons, and enjoying life. "Nothing To Do Town" will be an anthem for all those people that love their small town. "Where we're living, it ain't complicated / Don't knock it till you try it /Yeah, you might not hate it / Around here we work and we play."

On this record, Scott has the desire to share what he's learned from his own life with his fans. That holds true when it comes to "Boy I Was Back Then." The track is about realizing that growth is what life is all about. He sings heartfelt lines, "You wouldn't love the man, if you'd known the boy I was back then." These new songs offer a different side to Scott. A side that is honest and willing to bare his experiences with fans.
