Erin Duvall "Too Little, Too Late" Song Review

Erin Duvall is a rare force in country music. Her new song. "Too Little, Too Late," is the perfect song to help elevate her name.

Much of what makes Duvall tick comes from her home state of Texas. She grew up being influenced by the sounds around her: country, blues, gospel, and rock. Duvall also represents the power of being a single mom while pursuing her dreams. “I have grown up with two very strong examples of family first, hard work and giving back. So now, as a single mother of four, I feel very strongly to leave a legacy behind for my children that makes them proud," said Duvall on her website.

"Too Little, Too Late" comes at a timely moment given it's Valentine's Day. The track gives an insight into the hard parts that come with love that maybe aren't always talked about. “We all deserve to be loved. We all deserve to find the right partner. However, when one knows it is not the right fit when you feel pulled down instead of lifted up when it is physically draining, then one should choose personal happiness," Duvall shared about the lyricism via a press release.

Instead of sounding like a ballad, this song leans into the soulful style Duvall exudes. The lyrics are rich in strength as well. "Day by day, you showin' up being the 'perfect' man / We all know that's just part of your plan." It surely is an anthem for any woman who has been wronged. Even on a holiday designed to honor love, it's important to acknowledge the stories that don't have such happy endings. The truth is what country music is all about.
