ERNEST Releases Three New Songs

ERNEST is treating fans to more surprises this holiday season. The "Flower Shops" singer has released three brand new songs. "Unhang The Moon," "Miss That Girl," and "Songs We Used To Sing" provide deeper anticipation for his newly announced deluxe album, Two Dozen Roses.

"Unhang The Moon" is slower-tempo track that allows ERNEST to show off his writing, as well as his voice. This song is about longing for a love that simply isn't there anymore. From the popular saying, "I'd hang the moon for you," ERNEST instead wishes to do the opposite. "You broke me in two / And all wanna do / Is unhang the moon."

"Miss That Girl" has the melody and lyricism that can make one think of a nursery rhyme. After one listen, it's easy to have the song linger in your head. He sings of not wanting to miss out on the girl he can't stop thinking about. "Blue sky, blue sky, why so gray / I could sure use a little sun today / Hurry, hurry, fix this heart, I don't wanna miss that girl."

"Songs We Used To Sing" was teased just a couple days after ERNEST announced he was releasing two songs. Like the previous releases, he wears his heart on his sleeve. This vulnerable song details how heartache can impact so many parts of one's life. "Now those songs we used to sing / Are just songs that I can't sing anymore." ERNEST sure does make a case for bringing back the real and authentic writing styles like a George Jones or Hank Williams SR.
