Hannah Ellis has become one of the most promising new talents in country music. In her new song that comes out Friday, August 12th, Ellis proves why she is worthy of that title. Here is everything to know about the song, and the singer behind it.
Ellis is on the list of artists who found themselves being turned down by competition shows. She auditioned for The Voice in 2015 and did not get a chair turned around. However, this led to her signing a publishing deal in Nashville. Ellis' song "Us" has received radio play and has introduced her to a whole new crowd. This singer-songwriter from a small town in Kentucky recently wrapped up touring for Carly Pearce on 'The 29 Tour.' Ellis has also toured as part of CMT's Next Women Of Country. Her forthcoming debut album is slated for an early 2023 release.
Written by Ellis, Nick Wayne, Jason Massey, and Parker Welling, this track represents what country music is truly about. "Country Music is a life force that connects generations across time and space. It celebrates the highest of highs, and is always there as a friend during the lowest of lows," per press release.

This song is equally comforting as it is rocking. It can be perfect for a drive back home down a favorite road as Ellis sings, "Nothing gets you back home like country can." The lyrics pay tribute to a genre that has a history steeped in truth, story-telling, and healing. Ellis' vocal ability further captures the essence of what so many love about country music.
