HARDY, Dierks Bentley & Matt Stell “Hometown Boys”
“hix· tape | ‘hicks-tape’ • A mixtape of BACKROAD BANGERS. Brought to you by your favorite country boys & girls.”
Announced earlier this week, the highly anticipated HiXTAPE Vol. 2 is on its way. HARDY who released HiXTAPE Vol. 1 back in 2019 has once again brought together a plethora of talent from Nashville, and beyond for the second installment of this revolutionary project. The plan is to release 14 songs, one a week until December, giving fans a new smash each Friday. HARDY who will only sing on six of the songs this time around is allowing the idea of different genres, labels, and artistries come together to perfectly create a rockin’ album of features.
The first to be released, has heavy hitter Dierks Bentley featured along with HARDY and rising talent Matt Stell. “Hometown Boys” is an ode to the group of people you grew up with and although you’ve all grown up and moved on, you will always have an unspeakable bond. They know your deepest secrets, they have been there for years and you can always count on them.
“I wouldn’t be me without ’em, ’bout time somebody sang a song about them, hometown boys “
HARDY’s signature electric rock n roll mixed with country storytelling shines bright on the nostalgia-filled track while Bentley and Stell each take a verse, clearly reminiscing about their own small town memories and good ol buddies. This first offering gives new fans of the HiXTAPE brand a taste of what’s to hopefully come – 33 artists blending their personal styles to create music that all country fans can relate to and in the end, love.
