Jon Wayne Hatfield "Baby I Don't" Song Review

Recent American Idol contestant Jon Wayne Hatfield has a new single out. The singer released "Baby I Don't," and it's worth anyone taking a listen.

Hatfield is a 21-year-old country artist and songwriter living in Nashville, TN. He appeared on American Idol in February 2023 where he performed his single, "Tell Me Ray." The heartfelt song penned for his Grandfather stood out to millions of viewers. Hatfield's songs "What A Truck Is For" and "Strong Woman" have been streamed more than a million times on Spotify.

"I love the intensity of this song. It's filled with strong, mixed emotions - if you've ever felt broken and confused in a relationship, then you'll understand what I mean," said the singer about the track in a press release. Hatfield is right when it comes to feeling confused with matters of the heart. His lyrics aim to connect with anyone who listens. With smooth vocals, he exclaims, "MaybeI, maybe I I won't / Tell you that everything's gonna be alright / Cause it won't / Never been one / To tell you a, tell you a lie." The acoustic track grapples with loving and letting go, and Hatfield details the struggles honestly and intimately.
