Jordan Davis Goes No. 1 with “Buy Dirt”
Jordan Davis’ single ¨Buy Dirt¨ has hit No.1 on country radio. This week it tops the Billboard and Mediabase country airplay charts. The hit track has reached a global audience and has maintained No.1 status for three weeks in Canada and two weeks in Australia. Since its release in May 2021, “Buy Dirt” has been streamed over 250 million times internationally and has been in the Top 5 on the country streaming chart for 15 weeks.
Featuring country music star Luke Bryan, “Buy Dirt” centers around faith and relationships. Davis has noted in the past that he feels this is one of the most special songs he has ever released, and he conveys his heartfelt message with utmost sincerity. The lines “‘Cause the truth about it is/ it all goes by real quick/ You can’t buy happiness/ but you can buy dirt” speak volumes about what Davis sees as his life priorities.
“Buy Dirt” is Davis’ fourth No.1 single and joins a lasting place alongside “Slow Dance In A Parking Lot,” “Singles You Up,” and “Take It From Me.”
