Kane Brown has finally released his long-awaited new album. Different Man promises to show the varying sides of Brown, all while proving to be a unique perspective on today's country music.
Following his historic performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last month, one could argue the state of Brown's career in country; however, all of those who know Brown as an artist understand he is simply cracking the genre wide open. He combines popular sounds from other genres of music into a signature style that only he can execute. Fans will love to hear the growth he displays in every song on this new project.
Brown previously released several songs that are on the record. "Like I Love Country Music," "Grand," "Whiskey Sour," "Leave You Alone," and "One Mississippi" are all hits in the eyes of fans. "One Mississippi" and "Like I Love Country Music" earned Brown No. 1 status on country radio.
The album begins with the haunting and electric "Bury Me In Georgia." Brown's roots were planted in the southern state, and he wants everyone to know he is proud of it. It gives the project a touch of twain. "Devil Don't Even Bother" also brings a familiar country sound, complete with the violin. The song brings storytelling to the forefront.

"Thank God" is a stand-out track on the album. Featuring his talented wife Katelyn, the song is an ode to the love they share. Since teasing the song on their socials earlier this week, fans have already connected to the lyrics. "Thank God, you love me when you didn't have to / But you did and you do and He knew / Thank God for giving me you."
As the record had started, it also ends with a love letter to Brown's home state. "Dear Georgia" is soft in tone and full of heart with lyrics, "Dear Georgia, I couldn't make my way to California / I just needed something a little closer than too far / Just a county line apart." This track, as well as the album as a whole, could serve as a reminder that no matter how far Brown goes, country music will be at his core.
