Laine Hardy “Memorize You” Song Review

Laine Hardy made headlines in 2019 when he won American Idol- now, he’s back at it again with his newest single, “Memorize You.” The upbeat single has serious potential to be in the running for the song-of-the-summer.

“Memorize You” is about that stage of a relationship where you’re completely infatuated with the person, but you don’t fully know them yet. It’s about that moment where you say, as Hardy sings, “I wanna memorize you.” More plainly, I want to get to know everything about you. Not only is it an incredibly sweet song, but it just makes you want to roll the windows down and yell every word.

From Louisiana, Hardy was only 6-years-old when he picked up the guitar for the first time. It wasn’t long before he was spending entire nights performing at bars, and slowly but surely making a name for himself. In 2020, after winning American Idol, he held a virtual tour with over 20 shows that, as of now, have over 2 million streams.

The singer kicks off his tour on May 14th in Holiday, Florida, and it will run through November 19th, where he’ll wrap it up in Birmingham, Alabama.

The single is produced by Michael Knox, who has produced for Hardy in the past, as well as Jason Aldean and Thomas Rhett. It is written by Michael Taylor, Eric Arjes, and Steven Dale Jones.

If you end up having a summer fling (that may or may not turn into something more), this is a perfect “song” for you to share as a couple.
