Morgan Wallen’s “Sand In My Boots” Reaches No. 1 on Country Radio
After debuting at number 56, Morgan Wallen has officially made his comeback to country radio with chart-topping “Sand In My Boots.”
“Sand In My Boots” was co-written by Ashley Gorley, Josh Osborne, and HARDY, and is featured on his second studio album, Dangerous. The song that was almost Luke Bryan’s is about a beach fling that you wished was more.
“Yeah but, now I’m dodging potholes in my sunburnt Silverado / like a heart-broke Desperado, headed right back to my roots / Somethin’ bout the ways she kissed me tells me she’d love Eastern Tennesee / Yeah, but all I brought back with me was some sand in my boots.”
On Sunday evening, the East Tennessee native posted an Instagram story thanking his fans and country radio for making this possible. “I’ve said it before, I’ve said it a lot actually, you guys are the best fans in the world,” Wallen said.
Hits are nothing new to Wallen. “Sand In My Boots” is his fifth career #1 at country radio. “Wasted On You” and “7 Summers” also topped Billboard’s Hot Country Chart.
Just a couple of weeks ago, Wallen hit the road for his ‘Dangerous Tour’ which will take him across the US to more than over 40 cities.
