Noah Schnacy ‘Thoughtfully Reckless’ Album Review
Big Machine Records artist Noah Schnacky released his long-awaited debut album, Thoughtfully Reckless, on February 11, 2022. The rising singer-songwriter continues to build off the momentum of his previous releases such as his collaboration with Jimmie Allen and his streaming hits “Hello Beautiful” and “Maybe We Will.” This project is quite personal for the Minnesota native, as he co-wrote 11 of the 12 songs with some of Nashville’s most prolific songwriters including JT Harding and Ross Copperman.
Thoughtfully Reckless speaks to who Schnacky is as an artist and pieces together his many musical influences. Most of the songs have a pop-country production and songs like “Maybe We Will,” “Hello Beautiful,” and “I’ll Be The One” sound like they would fit in perfectly on country radio. However, other songs on the album such as “Don’t You Wanna Know” featuring Jimmie Allen, “Feels Like Love,” and “Where’d You Go” show influences from EDM, Hip-Hop, and Pop music, showing that he has the potential to become a crossover artist.
In a press release, Schnacky describes Thoughtfully Reckless stating “This collection is raw and hopeful. Sometimes it’s hard to put out there but it’s authentically everything I’ve been through myself, put in chronological order.” He also describes his ultimate goal for this album by expressing “I just hope that it connects. I hope someone hears this music and feels like they’re not alone, and it leaves them uplifted.”
This collection of songs serves as an authentic introduction to Schnacky and his artistry. Despite this being his debut album, he is no stranger to music fans. The social media star has 7.7 million followers on TikTok and over 92 million streams on his self-titled EP.
