Just when we thought Old Dominion was only releasing one new song, the band proved they had even more surprises coming. Along with "Memory Lane" which came out on Friday, the group released "Easier Said With Rum," "Ain't Got A Worry," and "Freedom Like You." "We’ve been working on so much new music, and the response to ‘Memory Lane’ has been so energizing that we decided we’re tired of sitting on it all," shared the band via a press release.
"Easier Said with Rum" details how easy it can be to say true feelings with some liquid courage. "Guess it's easier said with one, or two, to take off the edge...I'm sorry that sorry took so long." Like a lot of their musical catalog, this song has an effortless sound that can be attractive to any listener.
"Ain't Got a Worry" is the carefree song we have come to expect from this award-winning band. Matt Ramsey's voice guides his fans through what is really important in life. Especially with times like these, this is a much-welcomed track to release any worries one may have. Lead singer Matthew Ramsey sings, "Ain't got a rock in my show / Ain't a cloud in the sky / Life feels like I got a fish on the line / And I ain't got a worry in the world."
"Freedom Like You" possesses more of an edge than the other newly released tracks. Perfect for singing with the windows down, this tune feels like an invitation to live fast and free. The song is about taking life by the reigns with that someone special right beside you. "Making my American dream come true / I've never felt no freedom like you."
