On The Verge: 3 New Country Releases
As every Friday passes, numerous songs come out from up-and-coming country artists whose songs are well-written, beautiful, or simply fun. We’ve compiled a list of songs that were released last week by independent and rising acts that deserve much love and attention. Who knows, you might find your next favorite song.
Pretty Little Poison by Warren Zeiders
This album arrived highly anticipated, and it's safe to say it didn't disappoint. Zeiders has made a name for himself in country music due to his authenticity and "outlaw" style. His voice is gripping and sings of the most captivating lyrics. Zeiders is certainly becoming an artist to keep a close eye out on.
2. "Ask Me To Dance" by Catie Offerman feat. Hayes Carll
Offerman brings the old-school country sass to her new song. The track with Carll is a back-and-forth that once reigned supreme in the genre. The songstress from Texas has long been inspired by the likes of George Strait, and it's evident on this track. This song is infectious and timely. After one listen, people will be craving for more from Offferman.
3. "Cold Shoulder" by Mary Heather Hickman
This new track brings a more somber and raw feeling that most of the other new releases. Hickman's voice possible has never sounded stronger. Heartbreak can come in many forms, and feeling forgotten is one of the worst. This song illustrates those lonesome blues as perfectly as she could have.
