On The Verge: 3 New Country Releases
As every Friday passes, numerous songs come out from up-and-coming country artists whose songs are well-written, beautiful, or simply fun. We’ve compiled a list of songs that were released last week by independent and rising acts that deserve much love and attention. Who knows, you might find your next favorite song.
"This Side Of The Dirt" by Neon Union
This duo knows how to release a good down-home country song. They sing of where they come from and how it made them who they are today. Their voices, per usual, sound effortless together. The tempo has a continuous pace throughout making it an easy one to want to listen to.
2. "Walkin' Shoes" by Emily Ann Roberts
Roberts delivered the perfect song to empower anyone out there to leave a toxic situation. She sings about wanting someone to finally muster up the courage to do what's best for them. The track is spirited, sassy, and very country. Her voice gives a compelling case for why she has been an artist to watch. Her EP Can't Hide Country will be available on September 22nd.
3. "All My Friends Are Hot" by Robyn Ottolini
Ottolini is a force to be reckoned with. Her new song is soulful, honest, and attention grabbing. This is a song for her generation. Ottolini embraces and boasts about how great, and attractive, her friends are. Instead of the song coming across as jealous, the lyrics indicate she feels empower by having them in her life. It's the kind of song the genre needed right about now.
