On The Verge: 4 More New Country Releases
As every Friday passes, there are numerous songs that come out from independent country artists whose songs are well-written, beautiful, or simply fun. We’ve compiled a list of songs that were released last week by independent and rising acts that deserve much love and attention. Who knows, you might find your next favorite song.
1. "Wish You Were The One" by Kyle Clark and Julia Cole
Clark and Cole deliver a radiant duet that couldn't suit their voices more perfectly. Each of them sings from their own perspective about how their love has gone wrong. The song's message is about still wanting someone even when you shouldn't. When the feelings and emotions are so strong, you can't help but be pulled in their direction.
2. "Good At Gettin' Gone" by Parker Graye
Graye sings relatable lyrics that feel like a confession. On this track, Graye sings about wanting to know someone is so good at leaving, and why good things always seem to come to an end. It's a realization that many of us stop and think about at one point or another. The track also has a slowed-down tempo that captures the essence of the message Graye is trying to send.
3. "Heart Attack" by Boy Named Banjo
From the very beginning, this track will grab anyone's attention. It has a stirring beat with a melody that remains in the mind. It feels like a classic country song with a bit of a rock twist. The song is very reminiscent of the Southern rock that has woven itself into the genre, which is what Boy Named Banjo does best.
4. "VICTOR" By Sasha McVeigh
McVeigh released a fiery pop-country song that everyone should add to their playlist. Her vocal prowess truly shines on this new release as she sings about knowing she'll always come out on top. There is a real sense of empowerment in the lyricism that would inspire anyone who listens to it.
