On The Verge: 4 New Country Releases
As every Friday passes, there are numerous songs that come out from independent country artists whose songs are well-written, beautiful, or simply fun. We’ve compiled a list of songs that were released last week by independent and rising acts that deserve much love and attention. Who knows, you might find your next favorite song.
1. "Oh Ohio" by Luke Grimes
Grimes is continuing to release music that speaks to the hearts and minds of many. Here, the Yellowstone actor sings a bittersweet goodbye to his home state of Ohio. While some of the lyrics showcase his appreciation for his former home, the song is really about the closing of a chapter. Grimes is working with some of the best writers and producers in Nashville and it clearly shows.
2. "Getting Hitched" by Sofie Lynn
Lynn is a newcomer who delivered the perfect song to sing with some girlfriends. If a bachelorette party needed some fresh music, this is certainly a contender on the playlist. Lynn's youth and love for life can be felt all over the track.
3. "Always Never" by Erin Kinsey
Kinsey is always able to say what her listeners hope to say themselves, and she does it once again with this new song. The lyrics admit that a relationship isn't working while still carrying so much love for the other person. Young relationships can be a tricky road to navigate. Kinsey lets her fans know that it's okay to embrace the messy part of life.
4. "Don't Let Me Down Home" by Sean Stemaly
This song is bound to make everyone stop and listen. Stemaly sings about a world that feels overwhelming, so he's hoping his hometown still remains as he remembers. His love for where he grew up is evident. He sings a message that so many people who have moved away can relate to. Our homes can be safe places in an unfamiliar world.
