On The Verge: 4 New Country Releases

As every Friday passes, there are numerous songs that come out from independent country artists whose songs are well-written, beautiful, or simply fun. We’ve compiled a list of songs that were released last week by independent and rising acts that deserve much love and attention. Who knows, you might find your next favorite song.

1. "twenty something" by Alana Springsteen

Springsteen is embarking on a three-project rollout for her debut album. Messing It Up came out earlier this year, and Figuring It Out will arrive in July. This particular song truly captures the highs and lows that come when someone is in their twenties. It can be an exciting and scary time in people's lives. There is plenty of change that happens during this period, and Springsteen is able to create a song for everyone out there just like her.

2. "This Thing" by Neon Union

This rising duo is on track to release their forthcoming EP Double Wide Castle Sessions, and now has a new single to garner anticipation. This song was destined to be a party anthem for today's music. When listening to the track, it's evident that it is a perfect fit for the upcoming summer. There are twangy riffs and an upbeat melody for everyone to love.

3. "Match For My Memory" by Robyn Ottolini

Ottolini delivers a powerhouse song fitting for powerhouse vocals. A relationship that has come to an end is the foundation for many country songs. This singer-songwriter sings about knowing her memory will be hard to forget. For any woman out there going through a breakup, this is the song for them.

4. "Sugar Daddy" by Kylie Morgan

Morgan is an exciting newcomer with plenty of promise. The "If He Wanted To He Would" singer has social media to thank for helping her reach so many fans. This new release is a female empowerment anthem for young girls and young women alike. Morgan sings about how one's self-worth is the ultimate material good. With lyrics about working hard for one's own money, she sings of the importance of not relying on anyone.
