On The Verge: 4 New Country Releases
As every Friday passes, there are numerous songs that come out from independent country artists whose songs are well-written, beautiful, or simply fun. We’ve compiled a list of songs that were released last week by independent and rising acts that deserve much love and attention. Who knows, you might find your next favorite song.
1. "Jesus, My Mama, My Therapist" by Tiera Kennedy
Kennedy has a voice one can listen to all day long. Her sweet melodies enhance every song she sings, and this one is no exception. Her new release discusses the three most important people in her life. There is a humorous undertone to the lyrics, and it's clear this song is personal to Kennedy.
2. "Pretty" by Brandon Davis
Davis released a new song that is certainly worth checking out. This track is in response to someone asking if they look good, or pretty, enough. It's up-tempo and can get anyone moving. Davis sings about feeling like a lucky man to have someone by his side, which will make plenty of others think the same.
3. Double Wide Castle Sessions by Neon Union
This rising duo has finally released their anticipated EP. Their sound and style are Southern at heart, never diverting from being genuine. This project contains feel-good tracks as well as heartfelt lyrics. The pair have an undeniable chemistry, making their live shows ones to watch.
4. "Will If You Wanna" by Hobbs Sisters
Leave it to this sister duo to lift everyone's spirits. They put their talent on full display with this new song. The track is all about embracing new experiences, especially with a guy at a bar. There is a sense of spunk that feels refreshing. Releasing this in the summer only feels right.
