On The Verge: 4 New Country Releases
As every Friday passes, there are numerous songs that come out from independent country artists whose songs are well-written, beautiful, or simply fun. We’ve compiled a list of songs that were released last week by independent and rising acts that deserve much love and attention. Who knows, you might find your next favorite song.
1. "Tennessee Orange" by Megan Moroney
Just in time for football season, Moroney released a song inspired by the Vols of Tennessee. She sings from the perspective of falling in love with a guy who roots for orange and white. The lyrics are as honest as can be, something Moroney never fails at doing.
2. "Girls Like You" by Spencer Crandall
This rhythmic release is perfect for just about any occasion. Crandall never disappoints in delivering pop-country songs, and this one might be one of the catchiest. This track is about knowing what you have when you have it, and not letting the girl go.
3. "Souvenirs" by Riley Roth
This song feels different and dynamic from the very beginning. Roth's voice expertly sings about the power that comes from moving on. She makes it very clear through the lyrics that she isn't hung up on anyone, she simply likes the stuff she's claimed from the relationship gone wrong.
4. "Tan Lines" by Tanner Adell
Adell released a sensual song as the summer days are starting to slip away. With hip-hop influences, this track isn't the average country song. She manages to bring her uniqueness to light as she sings about wanting to see someone's newfound tan lines.
