On The Verge: 5 New Country Releases
As every Friday passes, there are numerous songs that come out from independent country artists whose songs are well-written, beautiful, or simply fun. We’ve compiled a list of songs that were released last week by independent and rising acts that deserve much love and attention. Who knows, you might find your next favorite song.
1. "What Does Sorry Mean" by Madison Kozak
Kozak delivers yet another emotion-packed ballad. Her voice radiates over such vulnerable lyrics. When listening to Kozak's songs, it's easy to feel like being transported back in time. She has a timeless quality to her music that doesn't happen very often in today's sound.
2. "Story To Tell" by Maggie Baugh
This new release complements Baugh's voice to a T. The song is about digging deeper than what people see on the surface. Viewing everyone's lives as stories to share is clever and showcases excellent lyricism.
3. "Nothin' Wrong With Being Country" by Kasey Tyndall
Tyndall released a spirited track that is bound to put anyone in a country frame of mind. It is complete with sass and twain, she brings energy with every note. This song is destined to become a country anthem for everyone out there.
4. "Tears Into Diamonds" by Leah Marie Mason
This soft and vulnerable track looks to give strength to those who need it most. Mason sings about turning something bad into something good. While the lyrics are about the ending of a relationship, that message of looking on the bright side could be used in any situation.
5. "what made you think?" by Avery Anna
The accompanying lyric video makes this song feel even more like a diary page for fans to see. Anna's song contains honest lyrics about waiting until it's too late. Our hearts can go through a lot, but when someone reopens a wound, it can feel too overwhelming. Anna sings about those emotions in only a way she can.
