On The Verge: 6 New Country Releases
As every Friday passes, there are numerous songs that come out from independent country artists whose songs are well-written, beautiful, or simply fun. We’ve compiled a list of songs that were released last week by independent and rising acts that deserve much love and attention. Who knows, you might find your next favorite song.
1. "18" by Jennifer Hart
Hart delivered the perfect rack to introduce her forthcoming EP. It's honest and bold, which is what Hart does best. This single, as well as the EP, pays homage to the '90s country music the singer grew up around.
2. "More Than Me" by Ian Munsick
This song is about the love one has for the man upstairs. "She loves Him more than me, and that's why I love her," sings Munsick. It's a sweet track that is about more than the love two people have for one another. There is beauty in songs that include the power of faith.
3. "What I Get For Loving You" by Seaforth
This country-pop duo provides a new track for those heartaches. The song is about the consequences that come along with being in love. When it comes to an end, how are you supposed to feel? That is what the duo sings about in the most melodic and contemporary way possible.
4. "Somewhere In Between" by Lauren Davison
This spirited song brings the energy in full force. Every line Davidson sings comes straight from her heart; it's evident she believes every word. The gray area of not knowing how serious a relationship is can be very relatable to this generation, and this song is perfect for that.
5. "Shakin' In Them Boots" by Jade Eagleson
Eagleson knows how to get his fans moving. This song captures attention quickly and never loses it. It brings back the feeling of a honky-tonk country that so many still hold dear. A great addition to any party, this song proves to be the up-tempo track to do the job.
6. "Old Flame" by Regan Rousseau
Rosseau's voice is as hypnotizing as ever. She sings about the burning passion that two former lovers have for each other. There is a back and forth struggle that often happens, and she is able to put all of those emotions into words.
