Restless Road “Bar Friends” Song Review
Nashville-based country music trio Restless Road is made up of singer-songwriters Garret Nichols, Zach Beeken, and Colton Pack. This very talented band delighted their giant online fanbase with the release of their anticipated self-titled debut EP in 2020. They’ve followed that EP with the release of a fun new song on Friday the 11th of June 2021 titled “Bar Friends,” which is sure to be an instant summer hit.
“Bar Friends” has a very traditional country feel that still captures the young energetic vibe and melodic sound of Restless Road. It’s fun, it’s catchy and you can’t help but sing along to it.
“Bar Friends” lyrically captures a special moment in life of feeling young and free that is especially vibrant in the summertime. Going out and letting off steam can help lighten the heavy load life can sometimes deal. “Bar Friends” are the kind of friends that help you let go without judgment.
This track gives credit to all the different types of friends you can have and what good luck it is to be surrounded by good people. But at the end of the day, when you just need to let loose, a certain kind of friend is needed.
“‘Cause I got work friends, and I got church friends. I got hometown, grew up on the same red dirt friends. I got great friends and I got fake friends. I got girls that wanna try but we can’t stay friends. Yeah, all in all, I’d say that life’s been good to me so far. But you know where I go when it gets hard. Out with my bar friends. Yeah, I’m with my bar friends.”
“Bar Friends” feels like the perfect summer country song for bonding with your buddies over a cold one.
