This country music band comprised of Michael Hobby, Zach Brown, Bill Satcher, and Graham DeLoach were the latest guests on our series Songs I Grew Up On. The guys discussed their latest music releases, including their record Broken Heartland. It can be a tough task for solo artists to choose their most impactful songs, so these bandmates had their work cut out for them. See below for their favorite song choices.
1. "Drive My Car" by The Beatles
The first selection came from Satcher. "The album this is on was my first CD I ever had," shared Satcher. He went on to say this is his favorite Beatles record and it brings back fond memories for him every time he listens to it.
2. "Crying" by Aerosmith
This song inspired Brown because of a girl in his fifth-grade class. Aerosmith is an influential band for Brown and they're what made him want to join a band of his own.
3. "When The Levy Breaks" by Led Zeppelin
An iconic track, Deloach believes it is "badass." He went on to say, "I want that to play on the speakers before we go on." Expect to hear the band listening to this to get them fired up before they go on stage.
4. "Midnight Montgomery" by Alan Jackson
From front to back, this is a true country song. Hobby chose this song because of the haunting feel to it. "My dad and mom took me to my first concert at the Carolina colosseum to see Alan Jackson on tour," he explained.
5. "Remedy" by The Black Crows
This was a collective decision from the band. All members look to this song as to what inspires their music. "The one band we can all agree to listen to," Satcher shared. Look out for the band potentially covering any of this band's songs in the future.
