Songs I Grew Up On with Corey Kent

Corey Kent is becoming an artist to watch in country music. With dynamic vocals and an electric stage presence, the singer seems to encompass rock and country in a distinct way. His song "Wild As Her" has been climbing the radio charts as well as racking up streaming numbers. Co-written by Morgan Wallen, the song seems to resonate with those who like an edgier style of country. While Kent has new music he's been teasing, he shared the three songs he grew up on with The Nash News.

1. "Diamonds And Gasoline" by Turnpike Troubadours

"When I think of college, I think of this song," shares Kent. He admits that there are plenty of emotions and memories tied to this track. Kent also shared it brought a sense of "real, honest songwriting."

2. "Pickup Truck" by Kings Of Leon

Kent appreciates the "journey" this song takes listeners on. The singer noted that he is a fan of what this band does production-wise throughout all of their music. Listening to Kent's songs, it's easy to see where he draws inspiration from.

3. "Springsteen" by Eric Church

"It's one of the most perfect bodies of work, pieces of art I've ever heard," saus Kent. He fell in love with how Church was able to create so much nostalgia within a song. This track is one of Church's most beloved songs, so it's no surprise Kent is also a fan.
