Songs I Grew Up On with Kinsey Rose
Kinsey Rose is a Nashville native who is taking Music Row by storm. Rose recently released an album entitled Fair Weather Love featuring country music icon Vince Gill. She also performed at one of country music's biggest festivals in France, the Festival Country Rendez Vous, and toured extensively in the UK, Scotland, Denmark, France, and Norway. Rose shares the songs that impacted her the most while growing up, and there might be familiar favorites.
1. "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison
This is a childhood favorite of Rose's. She learned the chords to the song and she would frequently practice the tune.
2. "Cowboy Take Me Away" by The Chicks
Who doesn't love this track? Rose remembers feeling inspired by this classic hit song. "Hearing those girls sing made me want to sing country music," says Rose
3. "Don't Come Home A Drinkin'" by Loretta Lynn
Rose notes that the songwriting is what she loves most about this song. Lynn is one of the all-time greats in the genre, so it's no surprise that Rose loves to play this song in her sets.
