Songs I Grew Up On with Mike Gossin
Mike Gossin is a talented singer-songwriter who has stepped into his own. As part of the band Gloriana, he toured internationally and released plenty of beloved singles. The New York native has gone on to release his own music, proving he is a force within country music. He shared the songs he grew up on, and there are bound to be some familiar favorites.
1. "Learning To Fly" by Tom Petty
Gossin is a "huge Tom Petty Fan." The acoustics and the writing made this song stand out to the singer when he was younger, and it's a track he still is drawn to today.
2. "Gone Country" by Alan Jackson
This classic Jackson song was one of the biggest hits of the 90s. Everyone in Gossin's hometown loved the song and was frequently played on the radio stations.
3. "Leaving Las Vegas" by Sheryl Crow
When he listened to this song after it was released, it inspired Gossin to go to Las Vegas himself. He has since toured with Crow, so now the song means even more.
