Struggle Jennings "Drinking Alone" Song Review
Struggle Jennings is a singer-songwriter determined to reignite "outlaw country" in today's country landscape. Jennings aims to do just that with his new song "Drinking Alone."
Jennings is the grandson of country legend Waylon Jennings. His collaboration with Jelly Roll on Fall In The Fall and becoming a No.1 Billboard Charting artist for "God We Need You Now," have all helped him chart his own path. Jennings creates his own style when fusing country, rap, and rock into a complete package. Per a press release, he wants to be known as the "Godfather of the burgeoning Outlaw Hip Hop Rock & Roll movement."
From the very beginning, this song is unlike anything that is currently available. It has an eerie quality that can make anyone become self-reflective. "Turn that bottle overtop of that sink / Wash the excuses down the drain / Or I could have just one more drink / And dance the night away from this pain," Jennings cries out.

"Drinking Alone" is the second single from Jennings' upcoming album Monte Carlo. This track resembles a brooding breakup song. The angst within Jennings' voice is undeniable. He sings as though he is trying to numb a broken heart, which is exactly what he aims to convey.
