Taylor Swift and Ashley Gorley to be Honored at the Nashville Songwriter Awards

Taylor Swift will always remain a vital part of country music. The singer will be honored at this year's Nashville Songwriter Awards. Ashley Gorley will also be honored as the Songwriter of the Decade. Swift will be the first woman to receive the award.

The event will be held on September 20th at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The winners were determined by their cumulative songwriting success between 2010-2019. Points were then calculated by the percentage of songwriting credit in a Nashville-associated song. Swift has been declared the NSAI's songwriter-artist of the year seven times during her career. Gorley has received the songwriter of the year title five times.
