The Nash News Presents Karley Scott Collins with Valerie Ponzio and Morgan Johnston

The Nash News is excited to host our second Sunset Sessions event on the Skydeck of Assembly Food Hall on Wednesday, November 30th from 7-10 p.m. Rising country artist Karley Scott Collins will headline the show with Valerie Ponzio and Morgan Johnston opening the show with acoustic sets. Tickets will be free to the public.

About Karley Scott Collins:

When Karley Scott Collins moved to Nashville from her hometown of Lake City, Fla., she arrived armed with her words – turns of phrase she'd fallen in love with, stories told to her by friends and family, and lyrics she'd jotted down in notebooks since she was 12. It's Karley's rich and emotionally soulful voice – an instrument that toes the line between wide-eyed wonder and world-weary knowledge – that anchors their messages. At their focal points, her songs are wrapped in lush instrumentation, neatly folding in her myriad musical influences like The Eagles, Stevie Nicks, Leonard Cohen, and Willie Nelson. Backed by Warner Chappell Publishing and Sony Nashville, her debut releases, “Heavenly” and “Tattoos,” struck a chord with critics upon release earlier this year, and her latest offering “Better Strangers” is available now. With more new music on the way thereafter, the 22-year-old upstart is all but assured to land with a seismic impact in the months ahead.

About Valerie Ponzio

Since being catapulted into the spotlight by her showstopping turn on The Voice, Valerie Ponzio has made it her mission to shatter every precedent set for Latin artists in the world of country music. Hailing from El Paso, Texas, Valerie has become a pioneer for a new wave of inclusivity in Nashville. As part of the inaugural class of CMT and mtheory's Equal Access program, she set her sights high and has both the voice and songwriting chops to stay her course. Dedicated to blending Latin sounds with country music's traditions, backed up by indomitable vocals, Ponzio is the rarest of things: something brand new in Music City. Her latest EP Frontera is out now.

About Morgan Johnston

Massachusetts native Morgan Johnston has been releasing original songs since 2018. In 2021, she added to her catalog by putting out tracks "Just in Case" and "Pity Party." Last year, Johnston was nominated by the Boston Music Awards for Country Artist of the Year. She also got to perform alongside Dustin Lynch at The Music Circus in her hometown.
