Tyler Hubbard: Putting Georgia in Florida Georgia Line

One of the most popular bands in country music in recent years has been Florida Georgia Line. In celebration of their vocalist Tyler Hubbard’s birthday, we are highlighting some of the tracks that were created along the way to this duo’s rise in popularity, along with sharing a newer song that shows Hubbard’s solo career as an artist too.

1. “Confessions” from the album Anything Goes (2014)

“Embers in the ashtray glow like memories that won’t let go / I’m out here tryna get untangled in the darkness on the edge of town / A little lost, a little found / Waitin’ on a call from an angel.”

2. Featured on “Undivided” from Tim McGraw’s album Here on Earth (2020)

“You and I can make a change / Maybe we can make a difference, make the world a better place / Look around and love somebody / We’ve been hateful long enough / Let the Good Lord reunite us / ‘Til this country that we love’s undivided.”

3. “May We All” featuring Tim McGraw from the album Dig Your Roots (2016)

“May we all know that nothin’ ain’t cool ’til you wear the new off / The sound of a quarter rollin’ down the jukebox / Play the Travis Tritt right above the 2Pac / ‘Fore you get lost down some road / Slow rollin’ with the top off the back of a Bronco / Buy a cold sixer with a cashed-in lotto.”

4.“Simple” from the album Soundtrack to Summer (2018)

“Ain’t no need to complicate it / We both know that’s overrated / We’ve been there, it’s safe to say it ain’t our style / We’re just simple like a six-string / The way this world was meant to be / Like laughin’ love, make a lot out of a little.”

5. “Sippin’ on Fire” from the album Anything Goes (2014)

“So why should we spend Saturday night alone / When I can call you on the phone, pick you up / Make it up as we go along / Pull an all-nighter chasing that desire / Sparks flying in her eyes like lighters / Get a little higher, sippin’ on fire.”
