You're Invited To: On The Verge Writer's Round

The Nash News is eager to host a writer's round with independent Nashville artists this coming Thursday, March 31st from 7-10 p.m. in downtown Nashville at Assembly Food Hall in the Fifth and Broad complex.


Artists performing include Jessica Willis Fisher, Nolan Sotillo, Payton Smith, Sarah Ryder, Kailey Nicole, Jeb Gipson, Liv Charette, and Larry McCoy. Get to know them and their music below!


1. Jessica Willis Fisher

Jessica Willis Fisher is now embarking on a solo career after being in her family's band The Willis Clan; they were known for their spectacular audition on America's Got Talent and their show on TLC. So far, Fisher has released three songs off of her upcoming debut record Brand New Day set to be released next month.


2. Nolan Sotillo

After living in LA and acting on a Steven Spielberg produced show, Sotillo is now pursuing his music dreams in Nashville. Last year, Sotillo put out his first full-length project titled At the End of the Day which features a blend of country-influenced tracks like "Run With You," "Stop," and "I'm Still" which you can listen to below.


3. Payton Smith

Payton Smith is a rising country singer-songwriter who also excels in masterful guitar playing. Smith has been releasing music since 2019, and in that same year, he put out his debut, self-titled EP. His song "Like I Knew You Would" has been streamed over 30 million times on Spotify alone and his most recent release, "Need You to Not" is an immediate earworm.


4. Sarah Ryder

In 2019, Sarah Ryder burst onto the scene with an EP titled Feels Like This. Since then, she's put out various singles including the inspiration and moving "Woman" Ryder wrote about all of the amazing women in her life. She also put out the upbeat track "Get Back" in the fall of last year.


5. Kailey Nicole

Kailey Nicole grew up with country greats like Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, and Elvis Presley playing in her house. Nicole would play throughout her home state of Kentucky before moving to Nashville and putting out originals in 2018. Her single "Two of a Kind" just came out last month and you can listen to it below.


6. Jeb Gipson

Georgia native Jeb Gipson grew up singing in church and playing with his dad's bluegrass band. For two years he's been putting out original music with tracks like "Good at Moving On" and "Kissing Me Back." He's also toured with artists like Riley Green, Jon Langston, Morgan Wallen, and HARDY. His latest single "Next Year" was released in December of 2021.


7. Liv Charette

Recording artist Liv Charette makes music that bends genre with influences from pop, adult contemporary, and dance. She posts covers of her singing on her YouTube channel frequently, and does numerous challenges on TikTok where she has amassed a following of over two hundred thousand followers. 8. Larry McCoy

Larry McCoy is a singer-songwriter based in Nashville. Though he doesn't release music under his own name, he's written numerous hits for huge country artists like Thomas Rhett, Jon Pardi, Luke Combs, Matt Stell, and Dillon Carmichael.
