You're Invited To The Nash News' 14th Writer's Round

The Nash News is excited to host our 13th writer's round with independent and up-and-coming country artists this coming Thursday, January 12th from 6-9 p.m. in downtown Nashville at Assembly Food Hall in the Fifth and Broad complex.


Artists performing include Elana Jane, Sheyna Gee, Emily Miller, Sammi Rae, Ivey Campbell, Levi Orr, Taylon Hope, Michael Todd, and Dallas Remington.

Get to know the artists and their music below!


Elana Jane

Elana Jane is a singer, songwriter, and musician whose most recent single, “50/50,” landed editorial playlisting by Spotify and Amazon Music. Elana has toured nationally since 2018, stopping at several country music festivals, as well as opening for major label recording artists Carly Pearce, Billy Currington, Jon Pardi, Michael Ray, Ashley McBryde, Parmalee, Jerrod Niemann, Dylan Scott, and Jana Kramer. She has had the honor of performing the National Anthem at several nationally recognized sporting events, including the PBR tour and NFL, NBA, and MLB games.


Sheyna Gee

Sheyna Gee is a Honkytonk Troubadour from Los Angeles, California now living in Nashville Tennessee where she travels the world playing over 200 shows a year. This y'alltenative Barbie has gone full steam ahead releasing 3 singles in the last 3 months with new music coming every 1-2 months through '23. Emily Miller

Emily Miller is a multi-talented country artist hailing from West Chester, Ohio. Her dynamic voice has entertained audiences all across the South and Midwest. Emily has opened for country star Easton Corbin as well as Grammy-winning bluegrass group, Sister Sadie. Her third single, “Prince Charming '' was a featured song in the ABC original series, Renee’s Bridal Takeover where it received much praise from its viewers. Her active engagement with the audience allows everyone to feel connected with her easy-going personality, catchy smile, and quick wit. She has a special way of telling stories through the melodies and words she sings. Emily has worked with some of the best in the business, including Grammy Award winner Tammy Rogers King of The Steeldrivers, and other industry professionals throughout Nashville, exposing her to audiences she never dreamed of. Her current single, “Take the Trash Out” can be found on all music platforms. Playing over 200 shows a year, Emily shows no signs of slowing down.


Sammi Rae

Born and raised Texas girl Sammi Rae believes in the power of a good song. From heartache to happiness, if there is a story to tell, Rae will write it.


Ivey Campbell

Ivey Campbell is an up-and-coming young country singer-songwriter from Nashville TN. She began singing and performing at the age of six in local community theaters, school plays, and her Music Academy showcases. Ivey picked up the guitar a little over a year ago and started playing live and writing music in June of 2022. She has played venues such as The Scoreboard, Opry Backstage Grill, Kimbro's, The Row, The Nashhouse, Rippy's Honky Tonk, and more! She has been featured as Nashville's most wanted artist twice, hosted by the Scoreboard. Currently, she is a high school student balancing her time as a student, singer, songwriter, and performer. Some of her biggest influences are Shania Twain, Taylor Swift, Carly Pearce, Kelsea Ballerini, and Callista Clark. She is excited to release her first song in the next few months followed by more of her own music this year!


Levi Orr

One of country music's newest up-and-coming artists, Levi Orr, is hitting the Nashville music scene hot out of the gate with a traditional country sound backed by a rock & roll edge. Born and raised in Mills River, North Caroline, Levi developed an undeniable passion for country music at the age of 14 and immediately set his sights on Nashville. After graduating from Clemson University in 2018, Levi moved to Nashville and dove headfirst into the music scene. His debut single "Trouble With You" hit music stores in April 2021, helping launch him into an official career as a full-time country artist.

Taylon Hope Taylon Hope is a singer, songwriter, and musician from West Jefferson, NC, located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, and now makes her home in Music City, Nashville, TN. Named one of 20 to Watch in 2020 by Women of Country and hailed as “Very promising” by MusicRow music critic Robert K Oermann. She began singing at the young age of four years old and music has been her passion ever since. She loves singing and performing and making a difference to others through her music. Her musical influences include Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, among others. Taylon has a love for both traditional and modern Country Music and has a great appreciation for all kinds of music. Michael Todd

Born and raised on the border of Idaho and Utah, Michael grew up singing with his family. Coming from a family of musicians, music was always something that came naturally but not without the will to practice. Performing musically was reserved more for the audience of friends and family until 2016 when life's perspective changed with a pursuit of a military career in the United States Marine corps. This was the catalyst for the pursuit of music as more than just a hobby.

After a 6-year contract with the military, Michael moved to Nashville with a pursuit of music in his sights, and the hopes to stay a while in the place where musical dreams become reality. Music City, Nashville Tennessee.


Dallas Remington

Dallas Remington has sass and class. She is a country recording artist and songwriter who knows who she is and what she wants. The Kentucky-born, fifth-generation farming family member took the plunge and moved to Nashville at the age of 15 to pursue her dreams of a country music career. In 2020, amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, Dallas released a song dedicated to her father and all essential employees - “Uncommon Man." It has since crossed 700k organic streams on Spotify and charted #43 on the Billboard Country Indicator Chart as well as #24 on the MusicRow Country Breakout and #4 on the CDX True Indie Chart! In May 2021, Dallas released her first Billboard Indicator Top 40 single, “Princess" which also charted in the top 40 on the MusicRow Country Breakout Chart and in addition to her radio airplay, she enjoyed the success of over a million views on the supporting video and her first video featured on CMT. In 2021, Dallas also released her digital singles “American Soil,” “Wild In The Woods” and her countrified cover of Metallica's signature song, “Enter Sandman.”
