The Nash News will host its 19th writer's round with independent and up-and-coming country artists this coming Thursday, March 16th from 6-9 p.m. in downtown Nashville at Assembly Food Hall in the Fifth and Broad complex.
Artists performing include Adam Paddock, Savraya, Caitlin Mae, Erin Gibney, Paige Penney, Aaron Pollock, Leah Belle Faser, Liddy Clark, and Ashlee Wadley. Get to know the artists and their music below.
Adam Paddock
The intersection between energetic pop & intimate singer-songwriter is where Adam Paddock's diverse discography feels right at home. Double-take-worthy horn arrangements married to unassuming, soaring vocals driven by familiar acoustic instrumentation is the formula; power-packed, community-focused live shows are the result. People are the point. As strong of an entrance as one can dream to make, Adam Paddock burst into the Ohio scene when he opened for Waka Flocka Flame & MAX as his first full-band show EVER, in the fall of 2020. Since this grand entrance, Paddock has opened for other nationally-acclaimed acts in 2022 such as Jake Miller, Ella Jane, Truslow, and Anna Vaus, in addition to sharing the stage with loads of rising talent like Yam Haus, HARIZ, Telehope, Cousin Simple, Katie Lynne Sharbaugh, Spirit of the Bear, and more. This success led to selling out his debut headlining show, resulting in a near-sell-out of an upgraded venue in February of 2021.
Savraya
Living in places like Nashville, TN, Ft. Worth, TX, and on the Mississippi Gulf Coast right near New Orleans, LA gave singer-songwriter Savraya a unique dose of Southern American music with roots, blues, jazz, country, hip hop, pop, and even Cajun music. At 16 she got her first guitar and had written her first song within a month. She started playing open mics very quickly. Her dad’s job transferred back to Nashville so she started playing writer’s rounds around town, and also started recording with Michael Mccadam and some great Nashville musicians. She has now found herself not claiming any genre, and opening her mind to all the modern, and past influences that have inspired her.
Caitlin Mae
Caitlin Mae is an award-winning singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist whose vocal
abilities and energy are reminiscent of a young Taylor Swift, with a twist. Having
sung with American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, at just 17 years old, Caitlin Mae
continues to delight the crowds at the venues she performs at across the UK, as well as
in the USA, where she has already toured Nashville, Tennessee, (three times), and
Indiana, this year alone.
Having already debuted four original songs at the iconic Bluebird Cafe, Nashville,
(virtually due to lockdown), Caitlin Mae fulfilled her wish of performing there live
and in person, not once, but three times in 2022.
Erin Gibney
If seeing is believing, then hearing is just further confirmation of what your other senses already know to be true. This same sense-fulfilling maxim can be applied to Nashville-based singer/songwriter/guitarist Erin Gibney’s new four-song Rose Colored Glasses EP, which is set
for release on all major digital formats via Rock Ridge Music in the summer of 2021. Produced by Marshall Altman (Amy Grant, Eric Paslay, Frankie Ballard) at The Galt Line in Gibney’s home base of Nashville, Rose Colored Glasses is the next creative and collaborative step for the rising 21-year-old pop-country artist.
Making up the four-song EP are: lead single “Easy Like That,” written solely by Gibney herself; the wistful, wishful second single, “Single at the Same Time” (written by Josh Kerr, Lauren Alaina, and Hannah Ellis); the not-so-innocent “Naïve” (penned by Jennifer Denmark, Kelsea Ballerini, Nicolle Galyon, and Jimmy Robbins); and the ever-hopeful “That’s What I’m Looking For” (written by Taylor Acorn, Kyle Fishman, and Justin Wilson). Over the course of these ante-upping tracks, Rose Colored Glasses delivers on the pop-country promise Gibney displayed with earlier self-penned singles like “Bold,” “Try,” and “Boys Think” — all of which keenly reflects the wise-beyond-her-years insight of this self-professed “ancient soul” storyteller.
Paige Penney
Paige Penney is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, three-time Canadian Folk Music Award & two-time MusicNL Award-nominated, MusicNL Newfound Talent Contest and Arts and Letters award winner. Paige's single "Shooting Star" features a co-write with Alan Doyle and Doyle is featured in the music video. Paige has opened for many established artists including Johnny Reid. Paige is currently writing and recording for her sophomore album to be released later this year.
Aaron Pollock
CCMA-nominated Nashville-based singer/songwriter, Aaron Pollock, is expanding his country sound and casting a wider net sonically. He is embracing past and present influences ranging from John Mayer and Don Henley to Keith Urban, HARDY, and Brothers Osborne.
Over the past few years, Pollock has established himself as a successful songwriter. He has over 900 songs in his catalogue and his talent is being recognized both in Canada and the United States He has also flourished as a recording artist and performer in his own right, sharing stages with the likes of Brett Kissel, Jocelyn Alice, and Shawn Hook.
Leah Belle Faser
Originally from Georgia, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Leah Belle Faser brings an authentic musical style that breaks down the walls of many music genres but remains grounded in a sound seasoned with country, pop, rock, and folk influences. At just 18, her powerful yet soulful voice brings to life the emotional, energizing, and thought-provoking lyrics of her original music as well as the songs of some of her favorite artists including Patsy Cline, Linda Ronstadt, Janis Joplin, and Brandi Carlile. Leah enjoys playing a schedule of 100+ live shows/year as a solo acoustic artist at venues around the Southeast. Her full band delivers a high-octane performance featuring Leah’s original songs and a wide variety of Pop Country, Retro-Soul and Southern Rock covers spanning the eras. In addition to playing a wide range of songwriter/music festivals and municipal events, Leah and her band have recently opened for nationally touring artists Christopher Cross, Jimmie Allen, Maggie Rose, Jake Owen, and Boz Scaggs. In 2020 - Leah worked with Grammy-Award-winning Nashville producer Casey Wood to release her debut EP, Crossing Hermi’s Bridge – a collection of 7 original songs she penned on her own. Leah released two new singles, Trash Talk and If He Was a Truck in 2022. For more information, visit www.leahbellefaser.com.

Born in Texas and raised in Florida, she began working professionally at the age of 9. The Taylor Guitar artist’s music has been highlighted by Rolling Stone, Radio Disney, and iHeart Radio. The Made Me Deluxe Edition will be released on April 28, 2023, and include two additional songs and a reimagined version of “Made Me.”
Ashlee Wadley
Hey there! I'm Ashlee, a singer/ songwriter in Nashville Tennessee. I grew up in Ohio and on country music. Along with music, I found my purpose of advocating for the marginalized during my first service trip to Haiti. My hope is to meet people where they are at and make them feel seen, in my music and in service. After graduating high school, I have spent the past few years traveling and bringing my guitar with me wherever I go. I moved from Ohio to Seattle, WA, down to San Francisco, CA, and now down to Nashville, TN, where I get to play and write more music and have the opportunity to live out more of my dream.
