You're Invited To: The Nash News' 21st On The Verge Writer's Round
The Nash News will host its 21st writer's round with independent and up-and-coming country artists this coming Thursday, March 30th from 6-9 p.m. in downtown Nashville at Assembly Food Hall in the Fifth and Broad complex.
Artists performing include Nora Tirrell, Macartney Reinhardt, Brian Goyette, Justin Love, Faith Schueler, Gary Frost, Sammi Rae, Jackie Therrien, and Allison Asarch. Get to know the artists and their music below.
Nora Tirrell
"My lyrics make my songs. My songs are my stories and they are my poetry. Throughout my life, I’ve written songs when I’ve been inspired to, whether by people in my life, difficulties I go through, or just events that spark inspiration in me."
Macartney Reinhardt
Macartney Reinhardt is a 16-year-old country singer-songwriter from Atlanta, GA now residing in Nashville. Her latest single "Coming Home" was released this past fall.
Brian Goyette
A country singer/songwriter from Greendale, Wisconsin, Brian has had a passion for music all his life. He began listening to country music in his early teens, and soon after picked up a guitar at the age of 14. In 2018, he started posting videos to social media, and gained a following and attention from various different avenues in the music industry. He is currently located in Nashville, and his musical influences include 2000’s country artists like Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, and Jason Aldean, but also modern country artists like Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, and Riley Green.
Justin Love
With his clean, catchy, and country-driven melodies, indie country singer/songwriter Justin Love has a way of crafting the perfect mix of commercially driven sounds with melancholic lyrics, making him an on-the-rise contributor to country music. He grew up as a youth pastor’s son, learning to perform beside his family at their hometown church in Waco, Texas and knew music was his passion at the early age of 13. After graduating high school, he went to MCC and graduated with his AAS and majored in commercial music performance in 2012. He moved to Nashville the following year.
His clever hooks and fresh melodies blend the perfect amount of styles of artists like Keith Urban, Dan and Shay and Rascal Flatts. His undeniable energy makes him quite the entertainer both on and off stage. A Nashville native for nearly 10 years, Justin has released 8 singles and continues to hone his craft by songwriting as well as creating new material for today’s listening audience.
Faith Schueler
Faith Schueler is a rising country artist, singer, and songwriter from Summerville, SC. She shares her own sound through her music and vocal presentation by digging deep into her Southern roots, creating music with a pop/country and soul twist.
Faith started her career singing in coffee shops and local events at age 13. In 2018, at just 17 years old, Faith hit the ground running by releasing her first single. Since then, she has released an EP as well as several other original singles and four music videos, three of which were featured on CMT's music website. She has opened for some of Nashville's most renowned artists such as Scotty McCreery, Matt Stell, and Hank Williams Jr. to name a few.
Faith has worked with some of the most well-known and Grammy Award winning songwriters and producers in Nashville and Charleston. She currently spends much of her time in Nashville working on new music and earlier this year, started co-hosting “The Nashville 360” with iHeart Radio and Charleston’s own 103.5 WEZL radio host, Ric Rush. You can hear “The Nashville 360 '' news segment daily throughout the US on many iHeart Radio stations and the iHeart Radio app.
Gary Frost
Gary Frost is 24 years old and currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee. Pursuing a career as an artist and a songwriter has always been a dream of Gary's, and since moving to Music City, that dream has become more achievable. With opening acts for Michael Ray & Jake Owen under his belt, Gary plans to turn his band into a high energy - touring sensation with dancing, fun, and singing along.
Sammi Rae
Born and raised Texas girl Sammi Rae believes in the power of a good song. From heartache to happiness, if there is a story to tell, Rae will write it.
Jackie Therrien
Jackie Therrien is a 19-year-old folk/alternative singer, songwriter, and musician from New Hampshire, but is currently based in Nashville studying songwriting at Belmont University.
Allison Asarch
Growing up in Houston, Texas, Allison Asarch discovered her love for music at a young age. In September 2020, she released her first single called Taylor Made and that same month, she appeared on the Netflix Original show “Sing On!” where she took first place and won over $42,000. Her debut album entitled Texas to Tennessee was released on February 11, 2022, and is now available on all streaming platforms. She is currently nominated for “Rising Star” at the Josie Music Awards, which took place last October at the Grand Ole Opry.
