You're Invited To: The Nash News' Fifth On The Verge Writer's Round
The Nash News is excited to announce that we will present our fifth writer's round with independent and up-and-coming country artists this coming Thursday, August 4th from 7-10 p.m. in downtown Nashville at Assembly Food Hall in the Fifth and Broad complex.
Tylar Bryant, Liam Coleman, Katie Austin, Sarah Allison Turner, Joe Noto, Baker Grissom, Stacey Kelleher, Nicole Croteau, and Collin Athas are the artists performing.
Get to know the artists and their music below!
Tylar Bryant
Tylar Bryant is a country music singer/songwriter from Texas. The Texas native prides himself in his authenticity and ability to infuse a mix of styles and sounds. Influenced by some of country music’s greatest voices and performers (such as Jim Reeves, Randy Travis and Chris Young), Bryant marries modern and traditional country sounds with rock and R&B grooves for an added twist.
Liam Coleman
Liam Coleman is a singer/songwriter and artist living in Nashville, TN. He was named one of Pulse Magazine’s “People to Watch” in 2021. Liam along with his songwriting team recently won the New England Songwriting Competition for an unreleased song titled “Leaving Season.”
Katie Austin
Whether Katie is performing one of her high-energy, boot-stomping songs or serenading you with a bone-chilling melody, she has a musical identity that is genuine and found in all the songs she writes. Most recently, the songwriter penned songs, “Breakin’ Your Heart” on the Lainey Wilson “Workin’ Overtime” EP and "There's Still Tomorrow" by Season 17 The Voice winner, Jake Hoot. Katie just released her newest single, "Bandaid" in July and is gearing up for another release in the next few weeks!
Sarah Allison Turner
What's in the name? Well, the answer is personal for country singer-songwriter SarahAllisonTurner. Born in the mountains of Bluefield, West Virginia, her unique moniker came from parents who thought it "sounded like a cool stage name." During her time in Music City, she has earned cuts by Alan Jackson, Tyler Farr, Gretchen Wilson, and more. She is currently working on new music set to release this fall!
Joe Noto
Joe from Royal Palm Beach, FL blends vivid storytelling and the truth of traditional country in his songwriting. While the former Seminole enjoys songwriting, his real passion is stepping on a stage and using his distinct voice to put a smile on everyone’s face. Essentially, that is all he wants to do. Joe draws from his idols Jake Owen, Brett Eldredge, and Jordan Davis to build a relatable and versatile sound that is reminiscent of his upbringing and his story.
Baker Grissom
From Little Rock, Arkansas Celebrating his 8th year in Nashville, Baker Grissom has gone from a Costco employee to a published writer co-writing with the biggest hitmakers in town. Baker is emerging as one of Nashville's most promising independent country artists & his latest single "Her On Out" is available everywhere you stream music.
Stacey Kelleher
An up-and-coming indie-pop artist, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Nashville, Stacey Kelleher is a force to be reckoned with. Inspired by artists like Holly Humberstone, LANY, Lennon Stella, and Phoebe Bridgers, Stacey’s pop melodies and detailed storytelling give her a fresh, unique voice.
Nicole Croteau
Nicole Croteau is a singer/songwriter based in Nashville, TN. Growing up in a small town in Montana, she grew a love for country music and storytelling. While falling in love with writing for the first time at the age of 13, she took 3rd place in the Colgate Country Showdown, and then went on to sign a record deal at the age of 19 with an LA-based label. For the past 6 years, she has been focused primarily on songwriting in the Country music industry in Nashville. More recently Nicole has started exploring her career as an artist again and is getting ready to release original music.
Collin Athas
Collin Athas is a musician from Baltimore Maryland, who recently relocated to Nashville to explore his new sound. He is working on his debut solo album which will be released later this year.
