The Nash News is excited to announce that we will be hosting our seventh writer's round with independent and up-and-coming country artists this coming Thursday, September 29th from 7-10 p.m. in downtown Nashville at Assembly Food Hall in the Fifth and Broad complex.
Artists performing include Jordana Bryant, Caroline Kid, Samantha Jayne, Becca Bowen, Brian Allison, Riah Butler, Autumn Marie Buysse, Carson Wallace, and Onoleigh.
Get to know the artists and their music below:
Jordana Bryant
Riser House Entertainment recording artist and prolific emerging songwriter, Jordana Bryant has never known a life without music. She began singing melodies at a young age, and by the time she was 10, Bryant’s father started teaching her how to play guitar. Learning how to play the guitar at the age of 10, and writing her own songs since early childhood, Jordana’s intrinsic passion is evident. The singer-songwriter is closer to bringing that message of positivity to the masses with the release of her music via Riser House Entertainment.
Caroline Kid
Caroline Kid is a singer-songwriter based in Nashville, TN. Her music blends country, pop, classic rock, and good old-fashioned storytelling. Five years into a “ten-year town”, Kid has blossomed with her craft. She brings her refreshingly honest lyrics and magnetic voice to every show, writer’s round, and online appearance.
Samantha Jayne
Samantha Jayne is a singer-songwriter originally from Philadelphia, PA who’s style is a versatile mix of country, pop, and rock influences. Her unique voice seamlessly blends genres and her storytelling captures her listener's attention by its honest, raw, and vulnerable nature. You can listen to her latest single, “Survive You” which is available on all streaming platforms.
Becca Bowen
Singer-songwriter Becca Bowen is an up-and-coming country artist whose Southern Belle exterior and tomboy personality have earned her the nickname Country Barbie.
Born and raised in the small town of West Columbia, South Carolina, Bowen’s country charm and background in the gospel genre shaped her unique musical style — traditional country with a soulful approach.
Brian Allison
Brian Allison is a singer/songwriter currently based in Nashville. With a sound that captures the wholesome feel of John Denver and the down-to-earth relatability of Chris Stapleton, Brian's music is solidly Country/Americana - a window to the heart of America. Brian draws from a vast array of influences, including The Beatles, The Allman Brothers, The Eagles, and Brandi Carlile.
Riah Butler
Riah Butler is originally from Galway, Ireland but has resided here in Nashville for the past 7 years after winning American Country Star in 2015. She has appeared on The Voice of Ireland and American Idol. Riah is known for her powerhouse vocals and classic country tone. She put out her last single "Best Side" in late 2021 and is currently about to release "Chasing Me Down" in October 2022.
Autumn Marie Buysse
Autumn Marie Buysse is a Nashville-based pure writer with over seventy cuts spanning country and pop. A month ago, she signed with Bigger Picture Entertainment via Sony/ATV. In the past year, she’s had six songs go TikTok viral, won the Bluebird Golden Pick Competition, won the ASCAP Jay Gorney Award, had a song on NBC’s American Song Contest, been selected for the ASCAP GPS Class of 2021, and had a song land on “Love Island UK.”
Carson Wallace
Carson Wallace reigns from a small town in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains of Central California called Springville. At only nineteen, he takes pride in all that embodies the western lifestyle, with a sound and style that present a unique approach to country music, giving audiences a raw taste of life in his eyes and all it entails. That being said, he draws inspiration from a variety of genres, appreciating great art above all and working to portray that vision through his musical work.
Onoleigh
Onoleigh tilts her hat to the country classics while simultaneously being a breath of fresh air to the genre. Her sultry, yet powerful vocals compliment the lyrical depth in her music as she writes straight from her Illinoisan heart.
